A strong focus on Bible stud¬ies, com¬mit¬ment to prayer and a greater desire for fel¬low¬ship has been a char¬ac¬ter¬is¬tic of the Urdu Lan¬guage Con¬gre¬ga¬tion (ULC) of the National Evangel¬i¬cal Church since 1967.

Geared towards Urdu speak¬ing peo¬ple from the sub¬con¬ti¬nent and Pak¬istan, the con¬gre-ga¬tion rep¬re¬sents a cross-section of nation¬al¬i¬ties from Pak¬istan, India to Bahrain. Mr. Samuel Hakim Din was the founding Chairman of ULC. For many years, lay lead¬ers pro-vided lead¬er¬ship to the con¬gre¬ga¬tion but in 1983, it was felt that a full time pas¬tor was needed and after a long search Rev. Anwar M. Khan was invited to lead the congregation. Rev. Khan continued his ministry till his retirement in June 2006. Again Congregation was led by the lay leaders till the installation of Rev. Isaac Inayat in April 2011.
